According to Pew Research, the second largest faith by population in the United States is Judaism with 1.7%, while atheism represents 1.6% of the population. Buddhism has a following of around 0.7%, Hindu of 0.4%, and Islam of about 0.6%. Christianity comprises 78% of the U.S. population.
